Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for Healthy Kids Day! We were thrilled to welcome over 360 attendees for a beautiful day of fun, wellness, and community. A special thank you to all of our amazing vendors and to The FARM Center for hosting us at their location. We truly appreciate your partnership. Thank you to everyone who attended the 4th Annual Wellness Expo at the Y. We are grateful for the community support that made this event such a success. TWO Events, One Weekend

“April 12, 2025 — Pool Easter Egg Hunt & Healthy Kids Day.”

Our pool turned into an Easter wonderland with 45 excited kiddos hopping in to scoop up floating and underwater eggs, followed by photos with the Easter Bunny! Simultaneously, Healthy Kids Day welcomed 26 vendors, engaged 164 youth, and connected with 266 community members. A big thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who brought these events to life.

Healthy Habits Challenge

“Congrats to our top dedicated finishers!”

After weeks of dedication, we’re thrilled to share the results: 1st/2nd Place tied went to Vickie Jo Roche and Leah Sanders ($100 program credit), followed by Linda Hallifax in 2nd Place ($50 program credit). Credits can be used for excellent YMCA programs like personal training, small group training, line dancing, nutrition coaching, and swim lessons. Keep up the healthy habits!

“April & May — Prepare for the Memorial Day Murph WOD.”

This April and May, we’re excited to offer an 8-week training program designed to help participants prepare for the Murph WOD on Memorial Day. The program provides a structured training schedule that integrates with existing workouts to support progressive strength. The Murph WOD is a tribute to Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy and all fallen soldiers, featuring a challenging sequence of running, pull-ups, push-ups, and air squats.

Get ready to stay motivated all year with our 2025 member fitness challenges! There’s something for everyone. Push your limits with the Murph WOD, stay consistent with the Idle Ironman, and finish the year strong with the 12 Days of Fitness. With even more challenges along the way, there’s always a new way to test yourself, have fun, and stay active.

Turkey Trot & Kids Dash

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for our 4th Annual Turkey Trot 5K! We were thrilled to welcome 159 participants who registered for the 5K or our Kids Dash! The great weather made the day even more special, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces getting active with friends and family before diving into a well-deserved Thanksgiving feast.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our 3rd Annual Senior Wellness Expo at the Y! We were thrilled to welcome over 150 attendees, including our amazing members, seniors from the community, and incredible vendors like Oconee County Parks & Rec, Kroeger Wellness, Right at Home, Clemson Institute for Engaged Aging, Inspire Health Chiropractic, and CenterWell Senior Primary Care.

What a blast we had! The day was filled with laughter, crafts, and boundless energy. Partners included Oconee Sheriff’s Department, Oconee County Library, Boy Scouts, SNAP-Ed, and FoodShare.
