Swim Team

YMCA Competitive Swimming programs provide a supportive community in which participants build relationships, feel a sense of belonging and realize achievements in and out of the pool.

Youth Competitive Swim Teams

The goal of the Foothills Area YMCA swim teams is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at their level of ability, from novice to international competitor, offering the highest quality professional coaching and technique instruction.

Requires a Family Membership at the Y.

Masters Swim Team

Join a group of enthusiastic adult swimmers of varying ability levels working together under the guidance of USA and ASCA certified swim coach Tyler Will and triathlete and certified fitness instructor Nathan Adams, to improve stroke efficiency, endurance and fitness levels. Whether you’re training for competition, for a triathlon, want to improve your stroke technique, or just stay in shape, our Masters Swim Team is for you!  The team is open to members and non-members.

Swim Academy

The Y, Swim Academy Program is the ideal program that provides a great bridge between swim lessons and the swim team.

For those just diving into the competitive swimming world, the main focus is to teach basic skills for each stroke, perfecting stroke technique, and introducing racing starts, and turns.

Swimmer must be able to swim at least 25 yards freestyle without stopping. Evaluation is required.

For more information and to set up an evaluation, please email Tyler Will at [email protected].
