Join in person:

  • Stop by the Cottingham Campus during our regular business hours.
  • Take a tour with one of our front desk associates.
  • Be sure to have your ID and payment method for your monthly draft ready (credit card or bank information).

Join online:

  • Review the membership types and rates below.
  • Click here to create your account and join online today!
  • After you complete the online registration process, stop by the Y with your ID to confirm your information and get your access card. Also, be sure to take a tour if you haven’t already done so!

    for $27.00 per adult per month. Adults added must also be living in the same household.
  • **We reserve the right to request proof of dependency (children or other) by way of 1040 tax forms.
  • A one-time $50.00 joining fee applies to all memberships.

INSURANCE-BASED MEMBERSHIP

We partner with several insurance programs that offer free gym memberships to encourage healthy living through physical activity, wellness education, and community engagement.

If you have one of these qualifying plans, please visit or call us to see if you’re eligible to join the Y. If you have any questions specific to your plan, please contact your insurance company.

Please note, insurance paid memberships are NOT eligible for YMCA Nationwide Membership.

MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS

The Foothills Area YMCA is proud to support those who serve our community. We offer membership discounts to qualifying individuals, including first responders (EMS, police, firefighters), active-duty military and veterans, and School District of Oconee County staff.

To verify eligibility, please bring a valid employee or service badge and stop by the Y for more information.

GUESTS / NATIONWIDE PROGRAM

The Foothills Area YMCA welcomes guests to enjoy our facilities with the purchase of a Day Pass.

Day Pass Pricing

  • Guests 13 and up: $15 per visit
  • Guests 12 and under: $10 per visit (must be accompanied by a guardian 18 years or older at all times)

General Guidelines

  • Day passes are available for purchase at the front desk.
  • Guests do not need to be accompanied by a YMCA member.
  • If a guest is accompanied by a FAYMCA member on their first visit, there will be no charge. Day pass fees will apply after the first visit.
  • A valid driver’s license, government-issued ID, or school ID is required for guests age 16 and older to purchase a day pass.
  • Guests cannot sign up for classes or use Child Watch.
  • All guests must follow YMCA rules and policies while using the facility.
  • The YMCA reserves the right to refuse entry or revoke guest privileges for failure to comply with policies or for inappropriate behavior.

Nationwide Program

Nationwide membership enables active, full facility, Y members to visit any participating YMCA in the United States. Some exceptions apply–program-only participants and special memberships (ie healthcare-based) are not eligible for Nationwide Membership. Foothills Area YMCA members are encouraged to contact the YMCA they plan to visit for more information regarding their nationwide policies. All Nationwide participants must use their home Y at least 51% of the time. Nationwide members visiting the Foothills Area YMCA cannot sign up for classes or use Child Watch.
