Small Group Training

What is Small Group Training (SGT)?

SGT is limited to no more than 8 people with 1 Coach. SGT is designed to provide more individualized instruction for each member. Your Coach will customize the workouts based on your fitness level, exercise experience and goals.  Programs may include an assessment. They are crafted to help you progress safely toward your fitness goals. You will also learn proper form in order to build strength & endurance and increase mobility and flexibility safely. You can expect to receive more individualized attention while experiencing motivating & inspiring support from your group and coach.

Registration: Registration for Training sessions are limited to Foothills Area YMCA members.

Please review the Small Group Training Member Agreement before completing your program registration.

Burn Bootcamp is a full body style workout.

The workouts will be focused on helping you gain strength and stamina.

We will use a mix of equipment such as dumbbells, barbells, TRX, sleds, and battle ropes.

Functional Fitness is exercise that grows and supports your everyday life. In a small group setting we will work on movements that equate to things we do everyday. While putting a focus on core and form as both are the foundation of proper movement.

A small-group focused on building total body strength with classic Barbell movements. You will be guided through lifts like the bench, squat, overhead press, bent-over row, deadlift etc., as well as useful accessory movements using dumbbells and kettlebells.

Stability-Weights-Energy-Aerobics-Tone

In a small group environment, you will engage in an exercise program that improves overall stability and mobility of the body, by incorporating movements to strengthen and enhance range of motion, balance, and other elements for daily activities.

This program includes:

  • Resistance exercises to improve muscle development
  • Muscle endurance
  • Enhancing muscle tone
  • Improving aerobic fitness
  • Increased energy levels
