At YMCA After School Care, children participate in a variety of activities that support their development and help them reach their full potential. Each day includes:

• Physical play, creative projects, and learning-based activities
• Interactive experiences that promote critical thinking
• A 30-minute homework period supported by trained YMCA staff
• Opportunities to build friendships and strengthen social skills
• A positive, engaging environment that fosters growth, confidence, and a sense of belonging

Fees & Registration:

We strive to keep our weekly tuition rates affordable for all families. Rates are consistent each week, regardless of the number of days your child attends. We regularly compare our pricing with other local programs to ensure we remain one of the most affordable options. While some fees have increased this year due to rising costs for materials, staffing, and operations, financial assistance is available to those who qualify.

• Registration:
  • Fee: $30 per child (one-time, non-refundable)
  • Registration does not roll over year to year. Each school year requires a new registration.
• Weekly Rate:
  • $50/week for Foothills Area YMCA Members
  • $70/week for Non-Members
  • Each week is charged at the regular weekly rate, regardless of how many days your child attends the program that week.
• Payments:
  • Due by the Friday before each week
  • A $10 late fee applies if not received on time
  • All tuition must be scheduled to auto-draft
• Discounts:
  • No sibling discounts offered
  • If you work for SDOC and have a valid 2025–2026 badge, you may qualify for $18 off per week. Email a photo of your current school ID to [email protected] to apply the discount.

Location: All After School Care takes place on-site at all 9 elementary schools in Oconee County as listed below.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 2:30 pm-5:30 pm. The After School Care program follows the school district calendar and will operate on all full days of school. The YMCA will not hold programming on half days/early dismissal days.
• Fridays are Fun Fridays at YMCA After School Care! Students will be able to participate in fun planned events that have been organized by the after school care staff.
