175 Years Fitness Challenge

We’re celebrating the Y’s 175 years in the U.S. with a month-long fitness challenge featuring three different ways to participate. Members can sign up for any one challenge individually, complete two, or take on all three.

If participants plan to complete all three, they can simply register for the Strong Together option and will not need to sign up for each challenge separately.

Once a challenge is completed, participants will add their name to the 175 Wall of Finishers, displayed on three boards outside the fitness floor.

Challenge Options

175 Miles Challenge

  • Walk, run, bike, swim or row a total of 175 miles throughout the month.
    Complete it and earn a Heart Certificate.

175 Reps Challenge

  • Complete 175 total reps per exercise over the course of the month using bodyweight movements:
    • Burpees, Squats, Push-Ups, Sit-Ups, and Lunges.
      Complete it and earn a Dumbbell Certificate.

175 Minutes of Group Exercise Challenge

  • Attend 175 total minutes of Group Exercise classes during the month.
    Complete it and earn an Exercising Certificate.

175 Strong Together Challenge (Miles, Mins, & Reps)

Participants who complete all three challenges will earn:

  • Placement in the Gold Star section of the 175 Wall of Finishers
  • A medal to celebrate their achievement
