S’mores Showdown

Bring your best creation to our dessert competition at Campfire Across America celebration and compete for ultimate bragging rights and awesome prizes.

Event Date: July 22nd

Contest Submission Deadline: 7:15 pm (Judging at 7:45 pm)

Location: Foothills Area YMCA Cottingham Campus (back field)

Registration is FREE for anyone in the community. All contestants must register below before the event.

Contestant Rules:

• Fully Prepared: All entries must be 100% completed before arrival. No on-site assembly, baking, or roasting is permitted for the competition. We will provide labels upon arrival based on the dessert title you register with.
• Heat-Ready: This is part of an outdoor event. Since there is no air conditioning, please choose recipes that won’t melt instantly.
• Storage: Shaded table space will be available and you are welcome to bring your own cooler, but “room temperature stable” treats are highly recommended.
• Portions: Provide at least 6 “tasting portions” (bite-sized pieces) for judges

Share Table: After a winner is announced, all contestants have the option to add their dessert creation to a “Share Table” for the community to try.

Judging Panel: Local restaurant owners and community members will judge your dessert for Creativity, Taste, and “Gooeyness Factor”. 

Prizes:

All winners will receive custom plaques, along with one of the following prizes

Prize #1 Grand Champion S’more -Best Overall: 1 Free month of Membership at FA-Y

Prize #2 The Masterpiece -Best Presentation: YMCA Shirt & $20 Credit (can be used toward guest passes, programs, membership discounts, etc.)

Prize #3 The Innovator -Most Creative: YMCA Swag
