We are excited to begin reopening our facility on Monday, May 18! To keep both our members and staff safe we will be following strict guidelines from the CDC and state authorities. Upon reopening, we will begin reopening our branch in phases, and will gradually get back to our new normal. Our facility will adhere to the following guidelines below during Phase 1.
Phase I Changes In Our Facility:
Members must maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance from one another
We will have modified operating hours during Phase 1 of reopening.
All staff and members will have their temperature taken upon entering the facility each day.
Staff will be wearing personal protective equipment (masks and gloves).
Staff members will be cleaning as members move from machine to machine.
Members must wash hands before and after working out with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Members must use the provided disinfecting wipes on each machine before and after use to assist us in ensuring a clean environment.
Signage has been added throughout the building to encourage social distance, hand-washing and remind members to disinfect equipment.
We will monitor the total number of members in the facility, fitness center, and pool to ensure that we do not exceed more than 5 members for every 1,000 square feet.
Time will be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes on all cardio machines.
Every other cardio machine will be turned off to maintain social distancing. Machines will be deep cleaned and cycled daily.
Group exercise programs (land and water) will continue virtually during Phase 1 until we feel it is safe to resume them in person.
The pool will be open during Phase 1. One swimmer per lap lane and lap workouts should be kept to 30 minutes or less.
Locker Rooms will be open, but showers will not be available during Phase 1.
Childwatch will open in Phase 2.
Coffee will not be available.
No guests will be permitted. Facility use will only be for members during YMCA Phase I.
