There is a 25 yard 6-lane lap pool.

We also have a Swim Academy that serves as a great bridge between swim lessons and the swim team.
Q: Do you offer swim lessons?
Yes! We offer private, semi-private, and home school swim lessons.
Q: What are your facility hours?
Monday-Thursday: 5:30 am-9:00 pm
Friday: 5:30 am-8:30 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am-5:00 pm
Sunday: 1:00 pm-5:00 pm
The pools will close 30 minutes prior to the rest of the facility.
Q: What are your ChildWatch hours and who can use ChildWatch?
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am-12:00 pm & 4:30 pm-8:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am-12:00 pm & 4:30-6:30 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am-12:00 noon

Children age 6 weeks to 10 years old are able to use ChildWatch. The maximum time limit for use of ChildWatch is 90 minutes per day. Children must be on a family membership type to be in ChildWatch.

Q: At what age can children use the fitness center or take group classes?
Children age 10 and under are not permitted in the fitness center. Ages 11-12 may use the cardio machines (Treadmills, cycle bikes, etc.) once they have completed our Kids Cardio program with a YMCA staff member. After completion of the program, youth age 11-12 must still always be directly supervised by a parent or guardian.
Children ages 11-12 are not permitted to use any of the strength machines or free weights and are only permitted to do body weight exercises (pushups, crunches, etc.) in the stretching and core area of the fitness center.
Youth ages 13-14 may use the selectorized strength machines and cardio machines once they complete our TeenQuest program with a YMCA staff member. After completion of the program, youth ages 13-14 must still be supervised by a parent or guardian while in the fitness center.
Youth ages 13-14 are not permitted to do use any free weights (Barbells, Plate Loaded, Dumbbells).
Youth age 15 and older are permitted full use of the fitness center and are expected to follow YMCA fitness center guidelines. Youth age 10 and older are permitted to take group exercise classes with a parent or guardian provided there is no use of weights in the class.
Q: Do you offer financial assistance on membership fees?
Yes! Please fill out our Open Doors Application for assistance with membership and other Y programs.
Q: How do I make Lap Swim reservations?
Login here or contact the welcome desk at 864-571-9622 during regular business hours. Reservations are limited to 30 minutes. The pool schedule is available/updated weekly on our website.
Q: How do I sign up for a class?
View the class list here and click the Reserve button under the class desired. You may also contact the welcome desk at 864-571-9622 during regular business hours.
Q: How do I cancel my class reservation?
Log in to your membership account > Select Programs tab > From the list of programs, check off the box next to the class you wish to cancel > Click Remove Selected. You may also contact the welcome desk at 864-571-9622 during regular business hours.
Q: Do you participate in the SilverSneakers program?
At this time the Cottingham Campus will not be a SilverSneakers partner. All members are welcome to apply for financial assistance in the event they cannot afford our standard membership dues. We will continue to look for partner opportunities that serve the community and its members while meeting the Y’s basic needs.
