For more information, visit our website and look for After School Care under the Programs tab.

Fitness

Q: What is FitQuest/ActivTrax?

Activtrax is an orientation program to the equipment at the Foothills Area YMCA. Adult members will have 3 sessions with a Fitness Coach to review/establish their fitness goals, complete a strength assessment, review how to use equipment in the fitness center and receive a workout program based on the member’s needs. It is best for members to complete all 3 sessions before utilizing the fitness center on their own in order to have a full understanding of all the equipment they may be utilizing in their program. (Only a portion of the equipment in the fitness center will be covered in each session). Activtrax programs are a great way to get into a routine, however, if the member has special needs or specific goals, it may not be the ideal program for their condition. Ensure that the member discusses their specific goals and needs with their fitness coach for the best fit!

Q: What types of exercises can my kids do?

Please refer to our Youth Age Guidelines here.
