Train for the Trot - 8 Week Training Program

Let’s take the chance to create healthy habits for the Holidays! Get ready for the Foothills Area YMCA’s 2nd Annual Turkey Trot with an 8-week 5k Training Plan catered to you! With the support from a Personal Trainer/Lifestyle Coach and experienced runner, you can expect to receive:
  • 2 In-person Check-ins at the YMCA:
    • Orientation to the 8-week plan of your choice:
      • Walk Plan
      • Walk to Run Plan
      • All Run Plan
    • Midway Group Walk/Run Day
  • On-the-go Access to your Training Plan that allows you and your coach to stay up to date on your progress!
  • Weekly Check-ins via text message
  • Group Support from other Train the Trot Participants!

The programs will be posted on our training app Trainerize. Once you register for the program, you will be emailed a request to join the training program you have chosen and set up your account.
